You set a goal. You achieved it. Now you find yourself in a better place than you were. You have gained momentum and your life, your health, or your business has improved.
But before this happened, in your past, what you might have feared (certainly I’ve done this) was what your future success might look like.
Why do we FEAR future success?
Because we don’t know what to expect! We often fear what we don’t know.
When you get to the place you wanted to get to — that place of success — you feel discomfort. Not what you expected, eh?
This new and better place of success, as the momentum is winding down, is not what you are used to.
Now you have to re-frame, and re-see you — as who you are now — here, in this moment, now.
You have to let go of the old you.
What was once comfortable was what you wanted to supersede.
Now that you’re “here” it feels awkward. But good at the same time. But oh my goodness, what if I keep changing for the better? Who will I then be? I only just got here!
When we change and grow quickly, or when we transform some part of our life, there is a LOT of discomfort. When you trans-form, you are re-forming your identity.
DIS-COMFORT is good! :-) It means you’ve left the OLD you, the OLD comfortable you behind.
But, as I alluded to, within that which might be fear, is also the need to CATCH UP to the new you.
The faster forward you move, the deeper your transformation, the greater the need to…
…recognize (what you have accomplished);
…reward (yourself what what you have accomplished);
…recover (take time to rest, but not too long), and;
…refresh (come out on the other side re-freshed, a fresh new you, with new energy and vitality, ready for the next challenge).
