I listened to his music when I was 16 or 17, while he was still alive, and remember watching him on SNL with David Bowie.

My all time favourite, most haunting, most hair-on-my-arms-raising-every-time is the live version of the Cold Song, very close to his passing.

It is simply stunning and a masterpiece of control and emotion.
