I’ll admit to being confused at the beginning, and then realized this is the story’s hero, perhaps being interviewed many years later? The retelling in the first person was an elegant but creatively jarring effect — in a good way because the history is itself uncomfortable.

Far more great lines and painterly images than I could highlight, James Finn. This instalment is outstanding.
