I also see another issue with productivity that’s related to business. I know Cal Newport (Deep Work) and others have written about this, namely that BUSY = PRODUCTIVE.
Workplaces expect to see people working, physically present for long hours. This transfers into entrepreneurship and I am sure guilty of this. The longer we go without proper rest, recovery, regeneration, sleep, etc., the less effective, and ultimatley the less productive.
Not all of us can wake naturally at the same time. Not all of us can do what everyone else does, which is the major failure of the generic advice given about when you should wake up and how you should create a morning routine.
