We are literally days away from breaking 1,000 followers and there are probably 40+ authors on the pub. The way in which it has grown is quite exciting, but more so what I have learn from the process, and from every single writer who teaches me something new
Something I do, that I don’t see many other publications do, is a deep edit of every piece. Actually private notes, questions, and suggestions to improve to work PRIOR to publishing. I have recently started turning down pieces, or requesting an author start over to increate the quality of writing and thought on Th-Ink Queerly.
We now also have a very strong, and growing LGBTQ fiction section edited by James Finn. I also recently learned that one of our authors has been selected by Medium to have their post featured! I won’t name names until that officially happens, but their work is outstanding and deserving of the feature.
Thank you for your continued support and for your help from the very beginning, Tom Kuegler. If it wasn’t for you, I don’t think I’d be doing this right now.
As to the comment by Nathan Ley, I disagree about the lack of diversity on Medium It is there, but as Tom described, it is HARD to find. Look for publications like,
by alto or
And search by tags and jump from one article to the next until you find that diversity and subversiveness!
