“It’s damn hard” sits in the brain with a semantic context of struggle, difficulty, blocks, etc.
“Mindfulness is an interesting challenge” show the potential for a growth mindset, for transformation, for change.
“I blow it” means I suck, I fail, I am a failure.
But I like your follow up, which is “I keep trying” and I would add, “The more I practice, the better I get at mindfulness.”
